It's never too early to start talking and planning for next year's marquee events on Lake Erie, St. Clair, Huron and Michigan.  With apologies to the Lake Ontario and Superior guys.  (Please add to this topic or start your own)

  • Detroit NOODS  May30- June1  (if they schedule it like last year)
  • Mills Trophy Race, start on June 6 (if they schedule it like last year)
  • Chicago NOODS, June 13-15 (if they schedule it like last year)
  • Port Huron to Mack, start on July 12th
  • Chicago to Mack, start on July 19th
  • Top-o-Lakes Regatta, July 26-27
J/35 North American Championships at North Star Sail Club, September 19-21

Who's coming?
Not coming.... let us know why?  What would change your mind?

TIME MACHINE will start things off...

Detroit NOODS... YES!
Mills Trophy Race... YES!
Chicago NOODS... NO, too far to transport.
Port Huron to Mack... YES!
Chicago to Mack... NO, not enough time and crew to do both races.
Top-o-Lakes.. YES!
J/35 North Americans..... ***YES***

Hey guys.... Is the Top-o-Lakes also going to be the Great Lakes Championship, as it was last year? Who is leading the charge and can we get some information out to people so that we can get LOTS of boats in Cheboygan.

Wild Ride 2008 Season Plan:

Key West                     (hoping for One Design Class)
Charlston Race Week   (hoping for One Design Class)
Annapolis NOOD         (One Design)
Detroit NOOD              (One Design)
BYC Port Huron Mac   (One Design)
Top O Lakes                  (One Design)
2008 NA's on Lake St.Clair
NSSC Fall Series            (One Design)

This is what we are calling the J35 25th Anniversary Tour

Any of the boats that have never done the Top O Lakes are missing a great time at a wonderful venue. This regatta provides more bang for your buck than any I’ve ever been to. The sailing is great as there are no other boats on the course, it is normal that we do 4 races on Saturday and still be back to the dock by 4:00. Racing is Saturday and Sunday only with typically 7 races completed. The Whitefish dinner is wonderful, and after dinner the lawn games and blender drinks make for much fun and amusement. Oh yes and a little Golf match on Friday afternoon for those that want to.
