Hello,
I want to replace the standing rigging on my boat as it seems to be the original rod from1986. Does somebody
have the measurements available for the hall spars mast ?
Thanks + Regards
Jan

Jan,
My boat is also a 1986 and I have considered the need to replace the rigging (but since we are fresh water, it might not be as pressing). I would start by contacting Hall Spars directly. They have supplied some new masts to boats here on the Great Lakes in the past few years, complete with new rigging. One word of caution is that you need to know the precise length of your mast and you should have pictures of your mast step. There seems to have been some boats with ever so slightly different configurations and rod gives you no wiggle room.
Boats that I know of that recently 'remasted'. PDQ Express (Detroit) DARKSTAR... now DOUBLESHOT (Detroit). New forestay was needed on SOCIALABLE (Milwaukee).
Hope this helps.

Jan,
Glad to help.... Did you work with the folks in Breskens?
I am just about ready to stretch out my forestay between some trees. The rig is down for the winter and we removed the forestay with the Tuffluff installed. I will use and old Flying Dutchman mainsheet system to tension it. I can then wiggle the TUFFLUFF off and try to find out what is causing it to bind up. I fear that I will find a kink or some other problem that indicates a weakness, in which case... I too will be calling Hall Spars.
If you care to... could you share the price with me (timemachine@ncyc.net).
Robert
